This News Report covers October 11, 2009 - October 18, 2009.

The temperature is averaging in the 50s°, of course this means that the streets around are also getting cold. It gets chilly in the evenings. Characters might want to start thinking about getting out their jackets and coats for the upcoming months if they haven't already.

So it isn't Christmas, but a holiday certainly isn't approaching, and residents can now see some of the stores starting to get the Halloween spirit. Decorations are starting to appear now, and a costume shop has opened up on the first floor to suit anyone looking for a costume whether it be scary or cute.
14 September 2009 @ 09:50 pm
This News Report covers September 14, 2009 - September 20, 2009.

The temperatures are really cooling down, now. The high for this week will be 85° on Thursday afternoon, but the weekend will bring cool showers to take the edge off that lingering summer spark. The new moon is this Friday, in case anyone was wondering!

Nothing is really happening in Heather Sky this week. Students are starting to get back into the rhythm of school, but beyond that, there's no remarkable occurrences. The Heather Gala stores are hiring part-time workers, now that the holiday season is approaching--at least, it is for the retail world, so if you need a job, drop by one of the two locations to see if there's an opening!
07 September 2009 @ 10:27 pm
This Report Covers September 7, 2009 - September 13, 2009.

It's cooling down slightly, but there's still plenty of summer to go around! The temperatures outside will hit around 90° at 3 pm, and the high 50s at night. Inside, it'll get up to 80° on Thursday, which will be offset that night by a thunderstorm. Be careful if you venture out onto the roof--Heather Sky is tall enough for storm watching to be dangerous! The Heather police recommend going outside on the ground floor if you want to storm watch.

School begins for kindergarten, 1st, 6th, and 9th grade on the 8th of September. The rest of the students begin on the 9th. The shuttle to Erebum resumes its college schedule and route on the 9th as well, so college students better get ready!

Other than school-related activities, this will be a quiet week at Heather Sky.

Heather Sky is Now Under New Management.

After almost three months of painfully silent hiatus, Heather Sky is coming back.
In a digging-one's-way-out-of-one's-coffin-and-up-through-six-feet-of-concrete kind of way.
We now have a new mod.
I am LynnyAnne, but you can call me Lyn or Anne, your pick. I am the mun for Adila Kiebrie (fair_rhythm) and Eirny Wesoüth (mininfinite). The previous mod, Katie, turned Heather Sky over to me once I found myself with a. more free time than her and b. a talent for house-keeping.

Nothing really will change from the previous system, if you were around for that. Same application process, same setup, same concept; this time, though, I'm the one you can complain to. Some small things will change, like the fact that the April Fool's Day plot, which hinged on characters that Katie had created, is at this point called off.

Okay. That All?
Yup! Thanks for sticking around, if you're from the 'first generation', and thanks for joining, if you're new. I appreciate it loads!

We can bring this baby back, I promise.

Snow is still really common on the rooftops. And it keeps building up. They folks who run Heather Sky have decided to put up a slope behind the main building, so if anyone wants to go sledding, snowboarding, or skiing, they have somewhere to go now!

Basketball games are weekly on Saturday afternoons to evenings! The team for the High School does really well against other schools. Training for track and other sports have started, so if that is something that you'd like to do - now is the time to sign up for it.

For the Film Festival, I hope everyone is working on that! A date has been set for it! February 21 is the date submissions are due by. They're also taking applications for judges to help with the festival, and people who would like to work at it, as well. The actual Festival Date will be February 28.

The outdoor weather, while it doesn't effect the residents, it will be noticeable! Outside, snow has started to pile up, it's cold, and there is the perfect time for sledding. There are some hills outside of the building that kids can go to if they want! This is going to be going on this entire time. And as it gets closer to January 3, it is getting extremely deep. It remains cold as well.

From December 25-January 3 the first floor of Heather Sky is going to look like Christmas Exploded. At 1 PM Christmas Day, the large tree that got put up Christmas Eve will be lit up, and a large star will be put on top. This is all at about the center of it. The Ice Skating rink is open for this period of time as well, and it's open for anyone to celebrate - and is free. Decorations from various religions and cultures will be around, as Heather Sky prefers itself to celebrate things that any and all residents wish to.
